MARC Your Disciples
MARC is an acronym used in leadership that stands for Model, Assist, Release, and Coach. Here's what each component means, especially in the context of teaching someone to share their faith.
Questions to consider
- Model: Show them how it's done by demonstrating the behavior or skills you want them to learn.
- Assist: Give them a hand as they try out their new skills. This might involve giving them resources or tagging alongside them.
- Release: Let them take the lead or even go independently with guidance. This means backing off and observing intently.
- Coach: Occasionally offer advice and tips to guide them. This could mean giving some helpful feedback and celebrating after they’ve made an attempt.
